April 25th Zachary turned 16. With drivers licenses in hand he is now ready for a few road trips. Yea, right! Okay, well maybe a few.
Birthday parties at our house always last several days.
Saturday the boys and I went to Grandmother and Granddaddy’s house at Happy.

Hovercraft & Blue Sky Fly In
Uncle Kyle Builds Hovercraft
Yes, Uncle Kyle has an engineering degree. He has always enjoyed building interesting things. This hovercraft is no exception. Built out of plywood, plastic “hay bale” sheeting and a leaf blower; it works pretty good.
He had it on display at the Fly In this past weekend at the Blue Sky airport which is South of Amarillo on Washington Street.
Here are videos of the hovercraft in action.
Blue Sky Fly In
Some really neat planes were at the fly in. Click on the pictures for a larger view.

This is a Stinson just like the one Uncle Kyle and I learned to fly when we were kids. Ours was a 1947 model 108-1.

Here are videos of some fly by’s.

22 Years & Counting
Bev and I celebrated our 22nd anniversary on Saturday the 5th.
It’s been a fantastic 22 years. We both are looking forward to the adventures the next 22 will bring.
My travels this week took me into Missouri, Iowa and Nebraska.
Hope you enjoy the pictures. Remember you can click on the pictures for a larger view.
They have really had a lot of rain in Missouri lately. You can see the water level in the Truman Reservoir is really high.
Looking south of the dam, the Osage river then goes into the Lake of the Ozarks and then on to the Missouri river.
With all the rain the pastures are really looking good & green.
Iowa
It’s wet in Iowa too. Farmers are really getting anxious to get in the field and plant corn.
Nebraska
Crossing the Missouri River from Iowa into Nebraska City.
Nebraska farm land.
