Boy Scout Shooting Sports Camp

I had a lot of fun attending the Boy Scout Shooting Camp with Jack and Ronnie Roberson. Wow, these boys can really shoot! This had to be the hottest weekend of the summer.

By 9:00 in the morning it was 90 degrees and then the temp toped out at 108 in the afternoon. The nice part about the Texas Panhandle is that it does cool off at night. By midnight the temperature was just right for sleeping in a tent.

The boys got to shoot a Hawkins black powder muzzle loader.

At the rifle range, after they grouped 3 shots in an area the size of a quarter, they let the boys try to split a playing card. Jack split 3 of them. Nice shoot'n Tex.

Ronnie Roberson won 3rd in the shotgun category and 6th in archery. Jack won 3rd in archery.

Summer Fun

Berkley Wilhelm visits for a few days in Wellingtion.

We really enjoyed Berkley staying 3 days at our house in Wellington. In addition to spending time with Kristen we all went to see Ice Age 3 at the Ritz Theater.

Wilhelm Reunion 2009

Once again we met in Elk City for the Wilhelm Family Reunion. Everyone enjoyed catching up on the happenings of the last year. This year the weather was cool and that made the park very enjoyable. Hope you have fun looking through the pictures.
